It may have been a major reason for excitement for fans who have been expecting this trailer since they got up from the movie theater at the end of the last Avengers movie back in 2012, but for Marvel it was a big blow and a hole in their plans.

The first trailer for “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” leaked online late last night and it managed to throw a spanner in the works for the PR team of the movie. However, the studio quickly recuperated and decided to poke fun at the incident, in a clever attempt to save some face.

The trailer was originally supposed to come out next week, but Marvel is forced to push it after a leak affects the schedule

On the official Marvel account, they tweeted “Dammit Hydra,” making it seem like the evil organization had thwarted their plans. Hours later, the studio would go on to publish the HD version online, exactly one week before it was supposed to be released, as a preview to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series.

The trailer gives fans some glimpses of what is shaping up to be a massive conflict for the team of superheroes and with what could possibly be their biggest battle to date. The main villain, as the title suggests, is the artificial intelligence Ultron, who manages to wreak havoc on the Avengers.

New characters emerge, some of the old ones are rumored to die

We see him donning Tony Stark's Hulk Buster suit of armor and despite Stark putting into play the “clean slate protocol,” Ultron seems to then build himself out of discarded Iron Man suits.

Captain America can be seen kicking down the door on what looks to be a European fortress or monastery, indicating that Hydra will be rearing at least one of its ugly heads for this movie too. Later, the Captain's famous vibranium shield can be seen shattered.

The producers have hinted that one of the Avengers could die in this movie, and it was believed to be Captain America, but now new rumors claim that it is going to be Iron Man, aka Tony Stark. His place would then be taken by his artificial intelligence Jarvis, played in this movie by Paul Dettany, who will become Vision, a dead superhero's mind who is placed in one of Ultron's earlier bodies.

It's all a bit complicated, but one thing is for sure, this movie is going to be a nail biter and it's also going to cause a devastating chain of events for The Avengers.
