Fans and critics say that Joss Whedon delivered the perfect superhero movie with “The Avengers,” finding the ideal balance between the comic books, and their overall feel, and a real action movie. With the second installment, judging by the new trailer, he’s bound to outdo himself.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” doesn’t come out until May 2015, but Marvel is already promoting it extensively. Following a rather unfortunate leak of the first trailer (which they handled like pros, blaming Hydra for it), here is a second, extended one.

It includes very little new footage, most of which is of the blink-and-you-miss-it type, but it’s nice because it offers a better look at the kind of adventure in store for the Avengers once Ultron breaks free and raises his own army. Hint: it’s not going to be pretty.

The full trailer is available below. The new footage includes a shot of Iron Man killing some people in a raid, a shot of Hawkeye in a clock tower, the Hulk and Hawkeye in the forest, presumably somewhere in Europe, a better look at S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill, and Captain America jumping over a car.

The trailer is also set to the same creepy “I’ve Got No Strings” song.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars a who’s who of popular actors right now, like Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson, James Spader and Andy Serkis.

Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba will have cameos, with Whedon forced to confirm them after Idris spilled the beans in an interview: they were meant to be a surprise.
