The new Avast 7.0.1451 is out and it brings to the table new features. One of them is WebRep support in Opera browser, which was long overdue.

Another is called SiteCorrect and is designed to keep you protected against URL hijacking, which relies on misspelling a URL address in the web browser.

Further modifications are improvements for AutoSandbox, Remote Assistance (adds support for UAC prompts) and SafeZone (protection against kernel-mode keyloggers, updated browser, clipboard sharing) modules.

Also new is Emergency Updater, a new update mechanism designed to permit Avast to push critical product updates in case the main service fails. Should such issues occur, reinstalling the entire suite is no longer necessary.

Additional changes include a redesign of the Outlook plugin and compatibility updates for the upcoming Windows 8.
