Based on the 2.6.28.7 Linux kernel, this version runs the brand new GNOME 2.26.0 desktop environment. Some of the benefits of implementing the latest GNOME release include better CD/DVD burning with Brasero, powerful plugins for the Totem Media Player (YouTube, Jamendo, BBC) and better support for multi-monitor setups.

The suite comes with the Writer, Calc, Impress and Draw applications, while Math and Database can be installed by downloading the openoffice-extra package.
