Final release is expected soon

The beta releases for the upcoming SimplyMEPIS 8.5 ended with the fifth version, launched at the beginning of last week. Therefore, Warren Woodford uploaded last night (February 23rd) the ISO images for the first release candidate of SimplyMEPIS 8.5. As usual, this development release is ready for testing for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures, and it includes a few updated packages, some improvements, and various bug fixes. At the moment, there is no release announcement for SimplyMEPIS 8.5 RC1, but we've downloaded the ISO images and took a look inside at the available packages, and their respective versions:
