As the IT market seems to be welcoming new tablets, laptops and video cards in droves, a certain Chinese company decided to change the tune a bit by delivering a new nettop to countries other than its native one.

For those that need a reminder or an update, nettop is the term used to define a very specific sort of desktop PC.

Basically, a computer can be called such if it has a small form factor and computing capabilities no better, at least not by much, than those of netbooks.

In other words, the are what makes up the entry level of the desktop PC market and use hardware specifically designed for them.

Currently, the generally-used platform in the making of these products is Intel's Pine Trail, a platform that also has CPUs for the aforementioned netbooks.

In the case of the Giada N20 from JEHE (SHENZHEN JIEHE TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT CO.), the CPU used is the dual-core Atom D525.

Said CPU is assisted by 2 GB of RAM and paired with none other than the NVIDIA NG-ION graphics processing unit.

That graphics solution is known for its ability to play multimedia of even Full HD quality (1,080p resolutions in other words).

There is also a hard disk drive with an internal capacity of 320 GB, plus the full range of connectivity and I/O options.

The list includes a multi-card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth and D-Sub and HDMI outputs, the last two meant for streaming video to an auxiliary display.

Other specifications include a power consumption of 35W, AUDIO-Out/MIC-in, two USB 2.0 ports and eSATA connectivity.

All of the components are packed inside an enclosure measuring 160 × 175 × 23mm and available in either black or white colors.

The price is said to be of $449, whereas the pre-loaded operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.
