Many claim to have seen the animal, but nobody can say where it came from

People in Essex have only recently found themselves unable to get out of their homes and carry on with their usual business after authorities informed them that, according to several eye-witnesses, a lion was roaming free in the region.

It may very well be because of the general chaos, but some say that, while staying indoors, they heard the lion roaring quite close to their homes.

In order to prevent any tragic incidents from occurring, two force helicopters and roughly 30 police officers were sent to patrol the area, hoping to catch the big cat before it attacks any humans who happen to wonder into its direction.

Sources say that local authorities tend to believe that this is not just a hoax, as apparently some people actually managed to take a picture of the lion.

For the time being, only one question remains: where exactly did this lion come from? As far as some people are concerned, circuses operating in the area are the most likely to have set this animal loose.
