Right after Grand Theft Auto was targeted by the American authorities, the Australians have decided to follow their example and to find out what’s with the pornographic scenes activated by HotCoffee.

In the United States, GTA’s rating has been changed to AO and Rockstar
and Take Two have already been targeted by the FTC, and the Australians didn’t go easier on the pornographic mini games, on the contrary.

The Office of Film and Literature Classification, the Australian authority regulating the games’ rating was much harsher than their American counterpart and it has simply banned the selling of GTA.

Initially, the Office of Film and Literature Classification had been even more permissive than the US and had granted the game a MA15+ rating, which means that the game can be bought by everyone over 15.

After the investigation took place, the Australians have withdrawn the game’s rating, which means that in Australia, GTA San Andreas cannot be sold, lent, or displayed anymore. Moreover, the Office of Film and Literature Classification has asked all retailers to take it out of the stores.
