3D printers may be talked about a lot, but there aren't that many of them, ultimately. That is why Aurora is bound to get quite a few inquiries about its new one.

Aurora is a Taiwan-based distributor of office automation machines and office furniture.

The latest product from its labs is a 3D printer called F1 and made for producers of consumer electronics devices.

Professional designers, schools and academic organizations will benefit from its use just as much.

Its strongest point is the price of only NT$100,000, which translates into US$3,373 / €2,481.

F1 works on FDM (fused deposition molding) technology and printing material PLA (polylactic acid), thermoplastic aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources. Potential customers are estimated at 200,000.

Aurora's products will be restricted to the Taiwan market. China may become a client at some point too, but until then, only 3D printers from Stratasys will make it there (a US-based partner of Aurora).
