Just a few hours ago, a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” ended in bloodshed in a theater in Aurora, Colorado. One suspect opened fire on patrons, killing 14 and injuring another 50 – but these are not the official figures yet.

A purported video from the incident has emerged online on YouTube. It is believed to have been shot outside the Aurora Mall.

*Please note that discretion is recommended when viewing it.

It shows patrons running out of the theater, and a bloodied man being carried out by a policeman. The woman recording everything on her camera phone says several times, “he's been shot, there's blood.”

Another woman is heard sobbing, “God, he's shooting.”

“Witnesses tell us he released some sort of canister. They heard a hissing sound and some gas emerged and the gunman opened fire,” an Aurora police spokesperson said of the incident.

Story developing.
