Leolah Brown: There’s no truth to reports she’s brain dead

Amid very troubling reports on the condition of Bobbi Kristina Brown, who has been in a medically induced coma since January 31 after being found submerged in her bathtub at home, certain members of the Brown family are speaking out.

Leolah Brown is Krissi’s aunt and she wants the world to know that there is no truth to reports claiming that Krissi is brain dead or that the family has decided to take her off life support because doctors informed them there was no way she could wake up from this.

The Bobbi Kristina case

Bobbi Kristina is the 21-year-old daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston and ex-husband Bobby Brown, an only child. Since her mother’s death, Krissi has been living with Nick Gordon, the boy Whitney raised as her own but never legally adopted.

In January 2014, they claimed they’d gotten married and started referring to each other accordingly. There was some talk of trouble and drug abuse, especially after they were involved in several incidents that required police intervention, but they didn’t seem that important.

Police are now conducting a criminal investigation with Gordon as the main suspect, after noticing Krissi had facial injuries not consistent with the way she was found. They believe they may have gotten in a fight that turned violent, and he tried to cover up whatever he did to her by staging an accident in the bathtub.

She was put in a medically induced coma after paramedics managed to revive her, at the hospital, to allow her vital signs to stabilize. It is believed she was deprived of oxygen for anywhere between 2 to 15 minutes.

Krissi is well, aunt insists

Even so, her aunt says for Fox 5 Atlanta, she is doing well, all things considered. Krissi has opened her eyes and is feeling much better, and doctors have already told the family that she is improving.

Regardless of what various “sources” say for the tabloids, she will be just fine, Leolah insists. Video of the entire interview is available at the link in the paragraph above.

Leolah also talks a bit about the ongoing criminal investigation, and though she doesn’t offer specifics (most likely because she doesn’t have them), she makes one thing clear: she is convinced that police are looking at the right man.

“I believe Nick Gordon will be charged with this… I hope that he will be charged with this as well. Soon. I really do,” she says, adding that she “saw this coming.”
