It can't be said that this comes as a major blow to reality TV enthusiasts, but it does make you want to raise an eyebrow. The former “Hills” star, Audrina Patridge, has uncovered for eonline that what you saw what not always what you got on the show.

Audrina confirmed that some of the fight scenes between her and Kristin Cavallari were staged by the producers in order to get the ratings up.

“In the beginning, a lot of it was real. As it went on, it was very manipulated and guided and you're kinda put in these scenarios where you would show up and you didn't know what you were in for until you were there, and you wanted to run out but they lock the door on you,” Audrina reveals.

She goes on to give a specific example of a scene between her and Cavallari “I actually had to leave early for another event, we were there for about three hours and they were like, ‘You can't leave until you and Kristin get into a fight.’ So I'm like, ‘Oh my God, Kristin!’ Kristin's like, ‘Let's do it.’ I'm like, ‘OK, c'mon.’ It was about Justin and we did it and we got to leave. So, little things like that.”

Cavallari seems to back her story, adding that some of the scenes on “Laguna Beach,” another popular reality show from a couple of years ago, were also fake or semi-scripted. “I faked relationships, faked fights. I don't care anymore—I can tell you. At this point, it's been so many years,” Cavallari confirms.

But whereas Cavallari admits she knew from the beginning what she was getting into and she says that she was game, Patridge insists that she was forced into this situations, to a point where the producers would keep her hostage by locking the door.

By a raise of hands, let's see how many of you actually thought that all those good people on “The Hills” were one hundred percent, honest to God, real characters in real situations. But it's OK if you watched, everybody has their own guilty pleasures. Now if only Kim and Kanye would fess up.
