The player offers numerous features at a decent price

Finally, someone thought about people who cannot afford expensive Mp3 players. Audiovox launched MP6610FM Mp3 player, which sounds too good to be true. The mp3 player is said to offer numerous features and memory and a decent price tag of only $20.

Despite being quite cheap for an mp3 player, the MP6610f's battery is not capable of assuring long music sessions, since it can only last for a couple of hours. Big minus on that, because since we don't buy it for the looks, at least give us a chance with the capabilities. At least it sports an incorporated battery level indicator, to know exactly how much time it can last.

Anyway, the Audiovox item is not very smart, but it can deal with MP3 and WMA-DRM10 file formats like any other expensive player. It also supports ID3tag data on the display, which is capable of delivering useful information regarding the artist, album and track.

It doesn't feature the greatest display, but comes with a cool OLED one. It reveals a shinny silver casing and seems to be rather small, which would be great for people who like jogging on favorite music. The player comes with 2 interchangeable covers in two colors: pink and blue.

As in the case of most Audiovox players, this one is compatible with Windows 98SE / ME / 2000 and XP, so the user can use it no matter the operating system. But there are a lot of available accessories on the market, if the user wants to add a personal touch.

It features 1GB memory size, but it is also available on 256MB version for only $20, so it could really kick off some competitors, but one should forget about the Korean manufacturers, since they can offer 2 GB for about the same price.

Anyway, it seems a fair price to me, giving the fact that even the most advanced players on the market are starting a battle against high prices.
