On December 21, the body of a 58-year-old man by the name Denver Lee St. Clair was discovered in a home in the city of McLoud in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.

The cops who got the first look at the dead man say that, when they arrived at the scene, the waistband of the 58-year-old's underwear was over his head and around his neck.

“I'd never seen this before, but when we first looked at our victim seeing the waistband of his underwear was around his neck,” Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth told the press.

Shortly after, it was determined that the cause of death was asphyxiation and blunt force trauma to the head, information shared with the public says.

According to Daily Mail, Denver Lee St. Clair ended up suffocating to death with his own underwear after his stepson, 33-year-old Brad Davis, gave him an “atomic wedgie.”

By the looks of it, the two men both enjoyed one too many sips of various alcoholic beverages, and got into a fight.

Word has it that the 58-year-old man had some not-so-nice things to say about his ex-wife, who also happened to be Brad's mother.

Brad allegedly asked him to quit bad-mouthing his mom, but the stepfather refused to shut up. What's more, he tried to hit the 33-year-old.

At this point, the latter got really angry and, after forgoing all his maturity, gave his stepfather a deadly “atomic wedgie.”

Although Brad Davis claims that he acted in self-defense, police officers have decided to rule the incident as homicide. Thus, the 33-year-old has been arrested, and will go on trial for murder.

The police officers investigating the case explain that they decided to charge Brad Davis with the killing of his stepfather due to the fact that the evidence they found at the scene does not support his story that the 58-year-old man's death was merely an unfortunate accident.

“We continued our investigation and uncovered evidence that led us to believe that this was more than just a fight,” Sheriff Mike Booth explained.
