Google has been making some strong moves in the enterprise sector and its Google Apps offering is picking Steam and market share in most places. The service is available either directly from Google or through its resellers program. Atlas Networking has announced it is now an authorized Google Apps reseller in Romania and offers all the regular Google Apps versions plus help procuring a custom domain name and setting up the service.

"Google Apps helps significantly reduce costs for companies which don't want to host their own email server. Furthermore, it's a user-friendly service which will definitely be successful in Romania as well. Worldwide, 3 million companies have already migrated to this platform and a further 3,000 new companies make the switch every day," Atlas Networking's Stefan Apateanu said. Atlas Networking offers all Google Apps versions, Standard, Premium, Non-Profit, Education and Government. The Standard version comes with a one-time fee of 150 RON ($51) and the same goes for the Non-Profit, Education and Government, which get Google Talk on top of the four apps in the base version.

Opting for the Premium version, which is the equivalent of Google's Premier offering, will set companies back 150 RON ($51) per user per year, but they'll also get significantly more storage space and apps like Google Sites, Video and Groups. There may be additional costs associated with migrating existing email accounts to Google Apps.

Companies could buy directly from Google, but using the reseller has the advantage of getting local support and also the possibility to get a customized Apps suite catering to any special needs. Google Apps resellers are trained by Google and have to prove they can set up and handle accounts for clients. The resellers program was officially launched about a year ago, but has been running for longer than that and gives Google the advantage of not having to set up dedicated sale teams for various regions around the world.
