More juicy details on the upcoming entry in the Alchemists of Dusk role-playing game series have transpired over the Internet, revealing some new characters and field actions for Atelier Shallie.

In the vein of Atelier Escha & Logi, the upcoming role-playing game will feature two protagonists, 16-year-old Shallistera and 18-year-old Shallote, and the similarity of their names is most likely what gave the game its title.

The game will revolve around a new system called Life Task, which will prove to be the main method for players to progress through the game's story, with each task having three components to take care of, exploration, a compound and a fight.

The information regarding Atelier Shallie: Achemists of the Dusk Sea has originated from the latest issue of the Dengeki PlayStation magazine, introducing Cortez, Nadi Elminus and Theokuga.

Cortez is a childhood friend of Shallistera who acts as her guard, with a protective big brother type of personality, whose preferred weapon is a pike and who is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsukoa.

Nadi Elminus is voiced by Aya Hisakawa, and as Shallote's mother she will accompany her as she goes about her daily job. As neither one of the two is particularly skilled at alchemy, she tends to take up more work than she can handle.

Theokuga is a shipbuilder who ends up accompanying Shallistela as her escort, preferring to address her very formally. His voice is provided by Shin Aomori.

Next up, several field actions have been shared, some of them being exclusive to either Shallistera or Shallote, while others available to both of the two protagonists.

For instance, fishing is exclusive to Shallote while dowsing is Shallistera's specialty. By fishing with the use of special bait, one can get more items for mixing, while dowsing can uncover new items that are hidden in the fields.

Mining is an action that is available to both characters, and as is the case with dowsing, mining at certain points in the field can result in obtaining new items.

It has also been revealed that Shallote can perform an exclusive ability described simply as "cleaning," but the specifics have not been revealed.

Also, each of the girls are said to have nicknames for each other, with Shallistera going by Stera and Shallote using Lote as a moniker.

Gust's latest project, Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of Dusk Sea, is currently scheduled for release on June 26 on the PlayStation 3 home entertainment system from Sony. For now, the game is set to launch in Japan only, as an official statement regarding the possibility of a western release is still pending.
