On a two-year contract

Nokia's 6126 should have ended up on At&t a long time ago, but since it didn't, people stopped thinking about it or expecting to see it in At&t stores.

First, rumors regarding the mobile operator picking this one up surfaced in Spring last year, and after quite a few months, At&t has finally added the clamshell to its product line-up.

While it would've most likely been considered a mid-range phone were it to be released as soon as the Finish manufacturer announced it, now At&t's Nokia 6126 can only be described as a low-end handset targeting the basic users with a taste for classy and sleek phones that come in a clamshell form factor.

Nevertheless, it packs a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, quad-band GSM/EDGE, a 2.2 inch 16.7 million color internal display with a 320 x 240 pixel resolution, media player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC, MP4, WMA, AMR and MIDI audio files as well as 3GPP and MPEG4 video files and Bluetooth for connectivity.

It's an S40 device, measuring 92 x 48 x 20 mm and weighing 112 grams. Other features include a stereo FM Radio, Push-to-talk over Cellular, 10 MB internal user storage space and a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion that should provide enough space for a sufficient number of files.

The Nokia 6126 is now available in At&t stores and online, with the price most likely varying depending on market. However, customers will get one for somewhere around $80 after rebates on a two-year contract.
