Asustek Computer and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company have both issued statements to pay respects to the late Steve Jobs.

Commenting on the recent death of Apple’s co-founder, Asustek Computer said the company respects Jobs' vision and his work to bring the whole world new innovations. Asustek said the company felt ‘regret’ to hear of Jobs’ death, according to a Taiwanese report.

Asustek also said that Jobs' ideas and innovative spirit are likely to pass down the IT industry.

Apple partner TSMC, for their part, issued a statement through chairman Morris Chang, who said: "We have lost a true visionary, and we will miss Steve immensely.”

Chang reportedly added that "Steve has completely changed the aspects of personal computers and has also redefined the shape of mobile computing devices.”

Acer founder, Stan Shih, is also saddened by Jobs’ death, saying that Jobs had dedicated his entire life to the popularity of information products.
