This year's edition of Computex has offered a preview on the Asus v90 phone model. There were few specifications known on this handset, although a release date has been extremely welcomed.

This candybar mobile phone comes with an appealing but also extremely functional design. Moreover, it turns out to be quite easy to handle at its 13.5 mm in thickness and with its large, well delimited buttons. One thing that highly contributes to its appealing look is the 2 inch TFT LCD screen which is capable of a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The glass cover goes beyond the limits of the display, which makes the Asus v90 look smooth and shiny.

There is also a camera included and it's a pretty good one, at its 3 megapixel resolution. Not only does this take high quality pictures, but it also includes a video recorder/playback, flash light, auto focus and digital zoom function. We have not seen how an image captured with Asus v90 looks like, but it has high chances of being extremely good when considering all these technological upgrades that have been included in it.

One feature that has proved to be quite popular with mobile phones lately is that of integrating an MP3 player. Asus v90 does that too and is also capable of supporting a large number of audio and video file types. Considering the fact that this handset's user might just get bored with its playlist, there is also an FM radio included in the package.

The internal memory is of 24 MB, way too small for a mobile phone with such high performances. Still, the good news is that it also has a microSD/ TransFlash card expansion slot as to compensate.

Asus v90 will be available for purchase sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. An estimate price that this handset will come for has not been revealed yet.
