14 DAY TRIAL // The Zenfone 2 is one of the most popular Android smartphones launched by Asus. As such, the company doesn't want to disappoint those who purchased their high-end smartphone and has decided to fix all the issues that have been affecting the Zenfone 2 since its release.
According to a new report, Asus has just released a new update that brings lots of bug fixes and improvements. Many of the issues reported by Zenfone 2 owners should be addressed in this update, which is now pushed OTA (over the air), in stages.
Keep in mind that this update is available for both Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML and ZE550ML. Even though the firmware versions they receive might be different, the changes are the same.
The OTA update is only 118MB in size, but it contains lots of improvements and bug fixes. Also, you don't need to back up your data since this update doesn't erase anything from your phone.
Stability improvements and fixes
Moving on to actual changes, Asus implemented its own Power Saver app, which should provide a variety of power saving modes for users to choose from. The application can also auto-change to Ultra saving mode when the battery is low, or users can even add an Auto switch mode.
According to the official changelog, the update should also improve Telephony stability, along with Calendar application. Lots of other features and function have received stability improvements, including image quality, service, signal bar, modem and Sound recorder.
The Flip Cover function has been improved as well, along with the Music application. The update also fixes third-party app issues and the problem with the Zenfone 2 not vibrating when Android mode is in-call.
The SIM settings issues has been addressed as well, along all browser's problems. The Miracast connection UX flow has also been optimized.
