The Asus X54HR is a nifty notebook for those in search of an affordable solution to cover for their mobility needs.

Though equipped with an Intel Core i3 CPU, potential customers may also choose from other available dual-core processors. This notebook is based on the HM65 Express chipset (an Intel chipset of choice for this range of portable computers) and can be loaded with up to 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3.

The maximum memory capacity may seem a bit on the low side in some people's eyes, but the Asus X54HR isn't aimed for the higher end of the notebook line, anyway. And with the pre-installed Windows 7 Basic or Home Premium, users can rest assured that the 4 GB memory will be efficiently put to work.

Asus X54HR comes with a 15.6" HD LED display (1366 x 768) powered by either the CPU's integrated HD Graphics chip, or the AMD Radeon HD7470M discrete card; the AMD graphics card boast 1 GB DDR3 VRAM, and it will let users enjoy great gaming titles in pretty good conditions (at least for a "casual"  laptop).

The built-in camera has the same lousy 0.3 MP resolution and the multimedia ranking is saved by the Blu-ray player which comes as standard. HDMI, Bluetooth 2.1 and one USB 3.0 port, coupled with Altec Lansing speakers might also divert your attention from the rather modest 4-cell 2600 mAh 37 WHrs battery.

All in all, it’s a nice notebook for pretty much all the usual scenarios one might encounter in a casual day, for work or play. Download drivers, BIOS and utilities for the Asus X54HR notebook for free.
