Asus plans to launch new versions of the U41Jf and N73Sv notebooks during the IT Show 2011 fair, that is scheduled to take place in Singapore between 10 and 13 March 2011, which will be powered by Intel's latest dual core processors based on the Sandy Bridge architecture.

These CPUs were announced at the start of the year by the Santa Clara-based company, but have only begun shipping a few days ago.

The Asus U41Jf features a slim design and was built in order to provide an impressive battery life (up to 10 hours according to the company), so the laptop is powered by Intel's second generation Core i3 and Core i5 processors which have a TDP of just 35W and range in speed from 2.1GHz to 2.7GHz.

All the processors feature Intel's Hyper-Threading technology as well as the Intel HD 3000 on-die graphics core.

In addition, the notebook can be configured with Nvidia dedicated graphics (with Optimus support), 4GB of RAM and offer Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Ethernet connectivity.

The machines also feature Asus' Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) technology which can boost the system's performance up to 15% thanks to its dynamic overclocking technology.

The other model to get Intel's recently launched dual-core Sandy Bridge processors is the N73Sv which features the company's SonicMaster audio technology as well as Nvidia dedicated graphics.

These are accompanied by 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 17.3-inch display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, WiFi, Bluetooth, and LAN connectivity, a USB 3.0 port and an HDMI video output.

Together with these two updated laptops, Asus will also officially launch in Singapore the Eee PC 1015PW, which is powered by an Intel Atom N550 processor and the AMD-based 1015B netbook.

More pricing details will be made available closer to the start of the IT Show 2011 fair. (via VR-Zone)
