14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier today, Asus started rolling out a new firmware update for the original Transformer tablet, the TF101, which is supposed to fix the issues experienced by many users after the Android 4.0 update.
This latest update bumps the tablet’s software to v9.2.1.17-20120312 and has already reached some users in the UK.
Sadly, despite Asus’ promises, the new firmware doesn’t appear to have done much good, as some Eurodroid readers and a few commenters on the Asus UK Facebook page complained that the new software revision doesn’t fix the many issues the ICS update introduced.
While definitely disappointing, we can’t say that we are surprised by this piece of news, since Asus’ mobile division doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to updating its tablets to Android 4.0.
