Indian consumers, brace yourselves! Asus has more coming your way, very soon. The PC manufacturer has just announced the release of its Transformer Book T100 convertible laptop in the country, NDTV reports.

Asus has provided this model with a 10.1-inch HD IPS touch-enabled display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

The Transformer Book T100 takes advantage of Intel's latest architecture and packs inside a 1.33GHz Atom Bay Trail-T Z3740 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. Intel HD graphics have also been slipped in.

Users can easily remove the keyboard off the T300 and use the hybrid as a Windows 8.1 standalone tablet. The convertible offers 32GB of built-in eMMC storage that can be increased via the microSD card plus Asus WebStorage. Connectivity wise, users will get USB 3.0, MicroHDMI and Wi-Fi capabilities.

In tablet mode the device weighs only 550 grams / 1.2 pounds and becomes a little bulkier when you attach the keyboard landing at 1.07 kg / 2.35 pounds.

Customers will begin seeing the Transformer Book T100 starting November in select Asus retail locations. The price has been set at Rs. 34,099 / $554 / €403.
