Company posts a series of sample photos on its Facebook page

While taking snapshots with an 10-inch tablet isn't necessarily my cup of tea, I have to admit that I'm a sucker for tablets and smartphones that can take a decent picture and the 8MP camera of the upcoming Asus Transformer Prime seems to be downright impressive in this area.

And why wouldn't it? With a back-illuminated 8MP CMOS sensor, auto-focus support and a f/2.4 lens, Asus seems to have got almost everything right.

Of course that great specs don't always have to correspond to great real-life performance, but judging by a series of pictures posted by Asus on its Facebook page and spotted by Netbook News, the Transformer Prime really manages to impress in this area.

You can judge for yourself by taking a look at the images included in the galley bellow, and make sure to pay a close attention at the ones taken in lower-light situations.

Granted, we still have to see how things will shape up in the retail version of the tablet, but I have a feeling that we won't come disappointed at least in this regard.
