Those of you living in Germany who planned to find the Asus Transformer Prime under your tree this Christmas need to look elsewhere as the tablet won’t arrive in time in your country.

Asus has confirmed this news on the company’s official Facebook page via a post noticed by NetbookNews.de.

Instead, the tablet is supposed to arrive at the end of December, beginning of January 2012, with no specific date being mentioned.

This doesn’t however modify the Prime’s availability date in the US, where Asus has reconfirmed earlier today that the device will arrive on December 19 as we have reported before.

No reason for the delay was given, but if you still want a Transformer Prime (whenever this will arrive) you can pre-order a unit from Amazon.de which has it listed at 599 EUR (roughly $793 US).
