After what seemed like an eternity to some, the Asus Transformer Prime has finally gone on sale in the UK.

According to Asus, the first stock of tablets will go to fulfill the pre-orders made by Android tablet fans so far, more units being scheduled to arrive in the coming weeks.

After pre-orders are cleared, each retailer will be able to provide updates on their stock availability and when they plan to put the product on display in their stores.

So far, Asus hasn’t said if the units shipped come with Android 4.0 ICS pre-installed or if the update will arrive OTA.

As many of you know, the Transformer Prime is the first quad-core tablet to reach the market and it sports a 10.1-inch IPS+ display, 32GB or 64GB of storage as well as front and rear cameras.
