Asus Transformer Prime Arrives in Stock at Best Buy, Sells Out Almost Immediately |

Getting a hold of an Asus Transformer Prime continues to be a particularly daunting task a week after the first tablets have begun shipping, with Best Buy quickly depleting a new stock the past week.
As Liliputing reports, on December 24, the US-based retailer listed a new stock of Transformer Prime tablets online, which were priced at $499.99 (382 EUR). These were said to ship the following day and were only available through BestBuy’s website. Despite the good news, the stocks didn’t last for all that long and they were depleted in just a couple of hours by Android fans who wanted to get their hands on Asus’ latest creation. Those lucky enough to place an order before stocks run out will get their tablet on December 27, but it now seems like the rest of us will have to wait for January before we can find a Prime on our doorstep.

The shipment is via UPS and tracking shows it will be delivered today 12/28/11 by 3pm. The Shipment left on 12/27/11, I paid $29.99 for next day shipping. If you opt for free shipping it will take 3-5 days to arrive. I leave for vacation
on the 30th, so I had to pay for next day shipping If I wanted to get it before I leave. |

They haven"t even been able to restock their shelves with the asus transformer. I don"t know where person got their information but it is wrong. |

The tablet was available for order momentarily on the 24th so that certain people could change their Champagne pre-orders to Amethyst and anyone else lucky enough to access the link could order as well. The link was posted online by numerous sources but could not be accessed by searching the Best Buy site in order to ensure the people who pre-ordered could re-order before other customers back ordered the item. I have my receipt, shipping confirmation email, and shipping number as proof. |

I called (Dec 27) to switch but BB customer service said the system changed the date to Dec. 26. Have email that has Dec 28th but all they said was they were sorry and there was nothing they could do. Yes I am * . |

Great tablet but the wifi issues are indeed true, the connectivity/performance is suspect. The further I get from my dual band N it seems the connection degrades. My W7 laptop and iPod touch have no issues in the same spot. Jury is still out on whether I keep it or return within my 45 day window, or if Asus owns up the the problem and fixes it somehow via SW or replacement. |
