Those of you living in the US might have been the first ones to get your hands on the Transformer Prime, but Android fans living in the UK don’t have any reason to be upset about this as at least their tablets won’t suffer from any WiFi issues, says Asus.

“After extensive checks we can confirm that no units have been supplied to the UK with a known WiFi issue,” said Asus in an official statement published on the company’s UK blog.

“Any customers experiencing WiFi issues specifically are advised to contact our support hotline on tel. 0870 1208 340.”

Furthermore, Asus also mentioned in the statement that it stands behind those Prime users that aren’t satisfied with the GPS performance of their tablets, offering them the chance to return the unit for a full refund.

“Any customers who have purchased a Transformer Prime TF201 and are dissatisfied with the performance of the GPS module are advised to return the unit to their point of purchase for a full refund as per standard consumer rights that apply in the UK,” said Asus.

If you though that the good news end here then think again, as the Taiwanese company has also decided to upgrade the warranty of the Primes sold in the UK.

Thanks to this change, the warranty was now increased from 12 to 18 months, reports Uber Gizmo, except for those users who had purchased the Tegra 3 tablet from a retailer offering a 2 year warranty period.

To benefit from this increase, one has to call the Asus support hotline at the number provided above.

Made official by Asus in mid-November of last year, the transformer Prime is the first tablet available on the market powered by Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra 3 SoC and sports either 32 or 64 GB of storage space, a 10.1-inch IPS+ screen, an optional keyboard dock and can be upgraded to Android 4.0, although some users have been experiencing all sort of issues with this process lately.
