Now that AMD has finally made official the retail versions of the Radeon HD 6450, HD 6570 and HD 6670 graphics cards, it's time for the company's board partners to introduce their solutions built on these new designs, and one of the first to do so is Asus.

Asus' new range of AMD graphics cards is actually comprised out of four new models, as the company has released two versions of the Radeon HD 6450.

Both use the same half height PCB design, passive cooling, and almost identical operating clocks, although the first packs 1GB of DDR3 memory connected to the GPU via a 64-bit interface, while the latter comes with only 512MB of DDR3 and uses a 32-bit wide bus.

Asus bundles both of its HD 6450 solutions with both a regular full-height and a low-profile bracket.

Moving up in Asus' lineup, the EAH6570 is also bundled together with a low-profile bracket, but the card is built on the Turks core which offers improved performance.

This packs 480 streaming units, 24 texturing units, 8 ROP units and a 128-bit memory bus which is connected to 1GB of DDR3 video buffer clocked at 900MHz (1800MHz data rate).

The GPU is run at 650MHz and the card is cooled by a fan and heatsink assembly which Asus states it provides dust-proof operation and 25% longer lifespan.

The Asus EAH6670/DI/1GD3 is built on the same Turks core as the Radeon HD 6570, but its GPU and memory are run at 800MHz and 1GHz (2GHz effective), respectively.

All the graphics cards Asus announced today feature AMD's UVD3 media decoding engine, HD3H support and pack dual-link DVI, HDMI and D-Sub video outputs.

Pricing wasn't announced, but these shouldn't stray too much from AMD's recommended MSRP. The Radeon HD 6450 has a recommended price of $55, while the HD 6570 and HD 6670 retail for $79 and $99, respectively.
