The Transformer Prime has received a lot of criticism in the last few months over its GPS performance, but fortunately Asus seems determined to make things better so it recently released a new GPS update for the tablet.

The update has started to be pushed out over-the-air this morning and doesn’t seem to bring much more than a new GPS driver (bumps it to version 6.9.13).

Despite the limited amount of changes brought, the results seem to be positive as engadget has found out.

Placing the tablet in a spot where it didn’t previously detect any satellites, the Prime has now managed to see no less than 12 satellites freshly rebooted and with WiFi turned off.

As always, there is no guarantee that this will work just as well for you, but it definitely looks like a step in the right direction.

If this GPS fix does what it's supposed to do...give yourself a pat on the back Asus. Good job.
