Asus confirmed the Asus Padfone tablet/phone combo almost two months ago, but details on the devices’ specs sheet are still blurry.

Although the Padfone was slated to be released with a Qualcomm Krait S4 processor on board, it appears that the folks over at Engadget have been tipped on the fact that the device will be powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core CPU.

In addition, the combo device should be powered by Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, though Asus initially stated that the Padfone will run Honeycomb platform.

According to the latest hearsay coming from Engadget, the Padfone is expected to be announced at Mobile World Congress 2012, in February.

However, the Asus Padfone may not be available on the market until mid-May or early June 2012.
