Although Asus already announced the third device in the Padfone family earlier this week at Mobile World Congress 2013, in Barcelona, the company plans to release the Padfone 2 in the UK.

Eurodroid reports the phone/tablet combo is now available for pre-order at Ebuyer for no less than £600 / €695 / $900.

Those unwilling to pay such an outrageous amount may want to wait until Carphone Warehouse makes the Padfone 2 available.

For the time being, the device is listed as “Coming Soon” without any price tags attached to it, so the retailer might put it on sale for a similar amount. Check it out here.

The bad news is Asus Padfone 2 will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, though the handset maker confirmed a Jelly Bean upgrade would be available soon.
