While using your tablet for making a phone call or two could be useful, nobody wants to be seen holding a 7-inch device to their face, so Asus has come out with an interesting contraption for the upcoming Eee Pad MeMo.

The smallish gadget pictured above is called the MeMic, and is designed to come as a headset/remote for your 7-inch MeMo tablet.

The device itself is quite simple and it relies on Bluetooth connectivity for providing its users with a much compact and handset-like gadget for making and receiving calls.

Right now, the MeMic is busy making its way through the FCC offices where it was spotted by liliputing, but it should arrive sometime in Q2 together with the Eee Pad MeMo. Just don’t ask us how much it will cost.
