Asus has just announced that it has expanded its line of high-performance Lamborghini laptops with the addition of the VX7 model that is targeting gamers and is powered by a second-generation Intel Core processor and Nvidia discrete graphics.

The new model is built around a Full HD 15.6-inch display and its design is inspired by the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, as the notebooks styling retains the sports car's aerodynamic and aggressive stance as well as some custom color schemes that remind us of Lamborghini's creation.

On the inside, the hardware used is just as powerful as the LP640 since Asus went with an Intel Core i7 2630QM processor paired together with a maximum of 16GB of RAM.

The Core i7 2630QM is one of the fastest mobile Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs available and packs four processing cores clocked at 2GHz (up to 2.9GHz in Turbo Mode) backed by Intel's Hyper-Threading technology and by 6MB of Level 3 cache memory.

Graphics is handled by an Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 GPU paired together with 3GB GDDR5 VRAM and the laptop can also be configured with a wide variety of storage solutions that can provide up to 1.5TB of disk capacity.

The rest of the Asus Lamborghini VX7 feature list includes a Blu-ray combo drive, a 2 MP webcam, a 8-in-1 card reader as well as a built-in Azalia compliant audio chip which is seconded by a pair of stereo speakers and a digital array microphone.

Connectivity wise, the gaming notebook features 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 2.1 support and Asus has also added an USB 3.0 port as well as an HDMI and a VGA video output.

Including the 8-cell 5200mAh 75Whrs battery, the whole notebook weights no less than 3.82kg.

The Asus Lamborghini VX7 is already available for purchase and its base price is set at €1995. (via HardwareLuxx)
