
ASUSTeK Computer Inc has launched a new notebook line. The ASUS V2 Notebook Series comes fully packed with 3.5G HSDPA support. Asus claims about the new notebook line that it is great to use especially if you need a professional solution that you carry around with
you when you travel a lot and you need wireless internet.
Besides the High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) wireless broadband HSDPA controller, the V2 series also comes with Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g services provided by Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG NIC), Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 capabilities, Bluetooth 2.0 and ASUS Security Protect Management (ASPM) that is stands for a multiple authentication device. The notebook also comes with a detachable docking station which is very useful in case you need to connect the notebook to various peripherals.
The laptop comes equipped with a Core 2 Duo CPU line (T5500…T7600) and can host up to 2GBs of DDR2 533/667. The Mobility™ Radeon™ X1450 DDR2 256MB is attached to a 14" WXGA ColorShine LCD that can also display the pictures coming form an impressive 3 megapixel integrated webcam. 3x USB 2.0, 1x u-DVI, 1x TPM, 1x Fingerprint Reader and even an integrated microphone come as default with the laptop also offering , 1x port for Docking Station applications . As for the storage department a SATA 80/100/120/160 GB hard drive comes as default.
Since the notebook is so new, no information regarding the pricing and the availability is known but expect this fellow to have a high price tag, especially because it packs a lot of network capabilities combined with enhanced security features and a healthy bundle of applications.
