Asus pulled two Android budget mid-range slates out of the bag, the MeMO Pad 8 and MeMO Pad 10, at the IFA trade show in Berlin, and now it has started spreading the slates across markets.

As there is no place like home, Asus has unleashed its latest designs on the Taiwanese market with acceptable price tags attached to them, reports Chinese Vr-Zone.

The two slates draw power from a 1.6GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and come sporting a Mali 400 MP4 graphics chip. As the digits attached to the names suggest, the first device is an 8-incher and the second has a 10.1-inch display, but both tablets have the same resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. They both offer Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB.

The MeMO Pad 10 does apparently bring something extra compared to its smaller brother, in the form of A-GPS with GLONASS, a space-based satellite navigation system.

The two slates are now available for purchase in Taiwan, with the Asus MeMO Pad 8 having a suggested retail price of $270 / €199, while the Asus MeMO Pad 10 is offered for $310 / €228.
