The supernotebooks just got better

ASUS recently announced the all-new line-up of ASUS-Lamborghini notebook series with the introduction of the VX2 models. The new supernotebooks not only feature the looks of the Italian iconic exotic cars, they also tend to be their equivalent as far as performance is concerned. Based on the latest Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology and being specially designed for Microsoft Windows Vista operation system, the next gen device offers brand new capabilities in security, performance, reliability, and manageability for an extreme mobile computing and "tactile" experience.

The innovative use of materials and details make the notebook look, feel and run like an exotic supercar. Featuring the classical Lamborghini signature colors of yellow and black, the cases are cast with aluminum-magnesium alloy and carbon fiber, respectively. The unique mirror painting surface of the LCD cover borrows the automotive sleek looks, enhancing the overall toughness, too. The interior lid also sports an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam.

Other outstanding features include an anti-glare LCD display and metallic keyboard with a leather bound palm rest area finished with yellow stitching, just like the interior of the car. Designers chose to place the speakers on the sides of the keyboard in order to deliver a distraction-free quality audio performance. The cooling fan lid of the notebook located on the back adopts the ingenious wheel rim concept.

"The birth of the new edition of the ASUS-Lamborghini notebook is no doubt the result of great efforts from both the design and computing technology sides," said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini. "We are very pleased to say that the VX2 is a perfect translation of Lamborghini - in both body and spirit."

Unfortunately, there's no word on when the VX2 will actually ship or its estimated price as of yet.
