Asus already has one of the most extensive lines of netbook computers available out there, but the Taiwanese company isn't willing to rest on its laurels so it's preparing to launch the Eee PC 1015PW, yet another dual-core Atom netbook although, this time, it features a more fashionable design.

Although I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of these new curves the Eee PC 1015PW so proudly displays, this does indeed make a strong impression on whoever lays its eyes on it, so it will definitely have its fans among the more fashion weary consumers.

And if the Purple Rain (I have to give Asus credit for this name choice) model that is displayed here is not really your thing, Asus is also releasing this under two other colorways, Gold Dust and Angel Skin.

Moving on past looks, we get a pretty standard configuration for a Atom dual-core netbook, the 1.5GHz N550 processor being accompanied by a maximum of 2GB of RAM as well as a 250GB or 320GB hard disk drive, Asus also including 500GB of free Internet storage.

Other features include 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, integrated webcam and card reader as well as the ExpressGate instant-on OS and a battery life of up to 10 hours.

Although everything sound pretty good until now I have to say that I am bit disappointed by the 1024x600 resolution featured by the 10 inch LED backlit display, this being quite low on vertical pixel count.

If Asus was to add a HD Ready 720p display to this thing then I am pretty sure the Eee PC 1015PW (or whatever that model may end up being called) could prove to be one of the best 10 inch netbooks available, but, in its current configuration, this is just another Atom dual-core 10 incher with some randomly engraved lines to set it apart from the competition.

Unfortunately, pricing is not yet known, but I sure hope Asus doesn't charge its customers extra for that “fashionable” exterior. (via techinstyle)
