Beside the Asus Eee Slate EP121 and Transformer tablets we've already talked about earlier, the Taiwan-based company also released at this year's International CES show the Slider model, that will apparently pack quite a serious mobile computing punch, while also running the latest Android OS iteration.

So, the Slider comes equipped with the NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processing unit featuring a dual-core CPU and NVIDIA GeForce graphics, that will enable the device to behave very well in all possible usage scenarios, including some serious multimedia playback.

Plus, the fact that the tablet from Asus also sports a mini HDMI interface means that users will be able to easily connect it to a HDTV from some widescreen HD playback.

The tablet from Asus also offers 512MB/1GB RAM memory options, while storage is provided by either a 16GB or a 32GB eMMC Flash module.

The Eee Pad Slider comes equipped with a 10.1-inch IPS touch-screen (1280 x 800 pixels resolution), for fast and easy operation, as well as built-in digital cameras on the front (1.2MP) and rear (5MP) of the tablet, enabling users to engage in video conferences, but also take good quality photos.

Connectivity-wise, the Slider is pretty well-equipped, featuring, beside the aforementioned mini HDMI interface, a mini USB port, an audio jack, memory card reader, as well as a docking port.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to mention that the new Slider tablet from Asus will run the yet unreleased Android 3.0 OS (also known as Honeycomb), this probably also being the reason why we'll have to wait a bit before the slider actually goes on sale.

As far as the pricing is concerned, we'll have to say that things don't look exactly great, since, as Engadget reports, the Slider will sell for anywhere in the $500 to $800 price range when it becomes officially available on the market in May, something that might actually drive customers away from Asus' products and towards some more affordable alternatives.
