We reported yesterday that Asus might launch a selfie-centric smartphone next week at Computex 2015 technology trade show, but the information came from unconfirmed sources.

Today, Asus teased its next Zenfone smartphone on Facebook and judging from the questions it asks fans, it's clearly the Zenfone Selfie devices that we reported on yesterday.

Asus asks fans “which new Zenfone family member will be unveiled at Computex 2015.” The company also gives us a hint: “illuminate the beauty that's in You through the front camera of the Zenfone . . . .”

Even though Asus might launch this particular smartphone under a different name, it will still come with a more than decent front-facing camera.

From what we know, the Zenfone Selfies smartphone will pack a 13-megapixel camera in the back, which features laser focus, dual-tone LED flash and video recording.

But the main selling point of the phone would be the 13-megapixel photo snapper in the front which features autofocus, dual-tone LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

The Zenfone Selfie will be a large phone

Another piece of information that we got is the fact that Asus Zenfone Selfie will sport a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with an unknown resolution.

Asus Zenfone Selfie is expected to be officially unveiled on June 2, but the smartphone won't be available on the market right away.

However, source close to the matter claim the Zenfone Selfie will definitely arrive on the market before Zenfone Zoom, Asus' other camera-centric smartphone, could be released.

Word is that Asus is struggling with Zenfone Zoom's production, even though the smartphone was announced along with the Zenfone 2 which is already available on the market.

Anyway, no other details on Asus Zenfone Selfie have been leaked apart from the ones that we already shared, but we expect more info to be revealed in the coming days, so stay tuned.
