Asus has already started the rollout of the Jelly Bean update for Padfone 2, but the original modeal has yet to receive the upgrade.

The company released the Padfone back in June with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system onboard, though Asus promised that a Jelly Bean upgrade would be available in the coming months.

Several months later, Asus launched the Padfone 2 with the same Ice Cream Sandwich platform out of the box. The handset maker made the same promise to those purchasing the device.

The promised Jelly Bean update for Padfone 2 arrived several weeks ago in some regions, but owners of the original Padfone are still waiting to receive their upgrade.

Well, it appears that Jelly Bean for Asus Padfone will arrive sometime this week, the folks over at GSMArena claim.

It looks like Asus Sweden has confirmed on its official Facebook page that the upgrade is only several days away.
