Asus has just made available its 2013 version of the FonePad 7-inch tablet in India. The slate will become available nationwide across major retailers in the country, starting this November for Rs 17,499 / $284 / €207 a pop, says AndroidOS.

The company pulled the veil off the model back in September and now it’s bringing it to the very absorbent Indian market. Asus FonePad 7 features a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel density. It draws power from a dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

As accustomed with lots of the models released on the Indian market, the slate features voice-calling support. Two cameras are provided on-board, a 5MP rear one and 1.2MP front snapper. Internal storage is set at 16GB, but users can go ahead and expand via the microSD card.

Asus’s new baby embeds front speakers and Asus SonicMaster audio technology. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AGPS & GLONASS functionalities are provided.

The FonePad 7 might not be much in terms of overall specs, but it provides enough to enjoy some media streaming and even keep in touch with your friends. Keep an eye out for it this November.
