Astral Terra: Adventures on the Planes is a smooth voxel sandbox fantasy RPG that has just landed on Kickstarter with the goal of obtaining $52,000 / €38,000 until December 15. Besides this, the game is also trying to obtain Steam Greenlight.

The guys from Tethys Interactive are trying to provide, through this RPG, a one of a kind experience as everything in the game, starting from the skills that players learn to the world, is unique and customizable.

Gamers will be able to gather numerous resources that will be of use in crafting and building different things. Also, you can explore the planes and find lost temples or libraries, full of scrolls and tomes.

What makes the game so interesting is that it offers the possibility to shape the world that you are in, everything “from character progression with experience points, levels and skills, to the terrain and environment, every inch of the game is procedurally generated and fully editable.”

Because of the advanced voxel-based game engine, Astra Terra avoids “the blocky and uneven textures of most procedural sandbox game worlds.”

Besides these features, players can gain XP through combat, questing and exploration. Therefore, they can choose skills based on the type of players they want to be and the type of adventures they want to have.

Magic will be at your disposal as you will be able to unlock priestly divine powers in hidden temples and wizard spells found on scrolls and tomes.

Moreover, you can choose to play sole, with friends, forging alliances across the world of Astral Terra, or against others.

The game was built with Unity and will be available for PC and Mac, as well as being distributed on Steam, if the Greenlight campaign succeeds. Also, the developers have some stretch goals, such as making the game available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and other platforms.

Besides the Kickstarter and Greenlight campaigns, the team from Tethys Interactive along with Valkyrie PR are accepting email-based Q&A interviews for coverage and even taking preview build requests.
