Astaro Product Manager, Angelo Comazzetto, has announced that Astaro Security Gateway has entered the public Beta stage for the upcoming 8.300 version.

According to the developers, during the next few weeks, users will be able to test the release and try out the new features that version 8.300 of Astaro Security Gateway introduces.

The most interesting highlights are: BGP Routing, Amazon Machine Images (to run ASG in the Amazon Elastic Computing Cloud), an Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) connector, support for a new Wireless AP50 product, and the ability to create site-to-site VPN's between ASG installations using our RED tunnel technology.

Instructions on how to install the Beta version can be found on the official forums. Besides the new features mentioned above, there are quite a few number of changes and updates. A full list is provided here.
