Assassin's Creed Unity patch #3 is set to debut later today, November 26, on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms, while PC users will be able to download it later this week for their own devices. According to Ubisoft, the new update includes over 300 fixes for the troubled game.

Assassin's Creed Unity was eagerly awaited by millions of franchise fans from around the world, as it promised to introduce overhauled versions of core mechanics such as the combat, stealth, or exploration, while bringing forth a new protagonist and a new historical setting that took advantage of the power in the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.

Unfortunately for fans who decided to get the game, it's plagued by many different problems and issues of a technical kind, as framerate drops, glitches, and other bugs are extremely common in the open world game.

Ubisoft has already rolled out a couple of major patches to fix some of the most important issues, and now update 3 is confirmed to launch this week around the world, according to the official website.

A new patch goes live starting today

More specifically, Assassin's Creed Unity patch #3 is set to become available for download on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms later today, November 26. PC users will have to wait until later this week, as apparently, Ubisoft still has some tinkering to do before rolling out the update through its uPlay service.

The patch is a massive one, according to the publisher, as over 300 different fixes are included in the update. Bear in mind that, while some improvements to the framerate are added, Ubisoft anticipates that it's not going to fix all the drops experienced by users across the game's three platforms. As such, another patch that specifically targets these problems is going to appear in the future.

Plenty of crashes and bugs have been fixed

Among the biggest improvements to Unity made via the new patch are those related to the crashes experienced by the game in the single-player or cooperative missions, certain framerate drops, specific issues regarding the exploration and navigation. More specifically, glitches with haystacks, taking cover, animations, the camera, or the crowds have been resolved. Players should also notice that they're less prone to get stuck on certain objects.

Issues that impacted the matchmaking, host migration, or the join-in-progress systems have been resolved, whereas the My Club menu is more responsive. The game's whole interface has also been tweaked to eliminate instances where objects overlapped on one another.

On the PC, specific instances of save game corruption have been resolved while many bugs that happened only on the platform have also been fixed.
