The development team at Ubisoft in charge of Assassin’s Creed Unity might have just launched the 1.02 patch for the video game on the PlayStation 4 and the PC, but they are already thinking ahead about the next update which will be delivered to the troubled open world experience.

The official announcement explains that the coming third major patch will be bigger than both delivered before it and is designed to deal with a wide range of problems that the community of fans has been reporting since the title was introduced.

Ubisoft promises that all animation bugs will be eliminated and that Arno will be able to move around without getting stuck in any way, while the crowd events, the NPCs and their Artificial Intelligence are also being tweaked.

Connectivity for Assassin’s Creed Unity will also be improved, as will the matchmaking for cooperative play, which should make it easier for gamers to create a group and explore the new missions.

The developers also plan to deal with problems linked to the menus, the Heads Up Display, and the overall stability of the title, although it seems that there are no plans to deal with the framerate issues.

Ubisoft states, “The ultimate list of fixes for Patch 3 isn’t finalized yet, it will be soon. Part of what we want to do at this point is balance the competing desires to get as much as we can into the patch with getting it out quickly. Once we’ve locked down exactly what will be in Patch 3, we will update you again with a more specific set of patch notes.”

Assassin’s Creed Unity’s biggest issue will be addressed later

The framerate issues linked to the new Assassin’s Creed experience are present on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, but the studios working on the title are saying that they are still exploring their main causes and that a full solution will take more time to be created.

Ubisoft is encouraging the community to offer more feedback and apologizes to those who cannot explore Paris at the moment.

Despite its issues, Assassin’s Creed Unity managed to take the second place during its debut week in the United Kingdom.

Ubisoft has not yet announced any plans to compensate those who are unable to play at the moment, but some free downloadable content might be delivered in the future, once all current problems are solved.
