Ubisoft has confirmed that it's actually working on Assassin's Creed Unity, the next installment in its popular series, and revealed a teaser video with in-game footage, not to mention a few details about the title.

The next Assassin's Creed has already been confirmed by Ubisoft to appear this year but so far details were rather sketchy, until a massive leak surfaced earlier this week with screenshots and details about a project reportedly called Assassin's Creed Unity.

Now, Ubisoft has made the official reveal, sharing a teaser trailer with in-game footage from Unity as well as quite a few details.

As you can see above, the game is, in fact, set in Paris during the French Revolution and starts a brand new protagonist.

According to its description, Ubisoft has been working on the new Assassin's Creed Unity for more than three years and, although it isn't ready to make the full reveal, it decided to share this first look at the game.

More details are coming in the following months but Ubisoft confirms that Unity is a next-gen only Assassin's Creed, meaning it will appear for PS4 and Xbox One and probably PC at the end of the year. Stay tuned for more info soon enough.
