A batch of fresh details about Assassin's Creed Unity has appeared online, focusing on the array of activities that players will find in its virtual recreation of Paris, from random encounters to exploration of the city's catacombs.

Assassin's Creed Unity was confirmed to the world earlier this year, but only at E3 2014 last month did Ubisoft offer some actual information about the next iteration in the long-running series.

Players take control of new protagonist Arno Dorian and they'll be able to explore Paris during the French Revolution either alone or with friends via the new cooperative mode.

A series of new details has surfaced online via Access the Animus, this time concerning the actual virtual Paris and how it's going to be filled with all sorts of new elements.

First up, it seems that random events will be quite often, as the city is ruled by chaos due to the ongoing revolution. Various citizens will try to do certain things, such as robbing a church, and players can interrupt them in order to restore at least a bit of order to the streets of the French city.

What's more, players will be able to learn more about Paris during the revolution via small stories that focus not just on the larger events but also on the smaller ones that affected the common folk and not the nobility. An example is given about an abandoned home, whose inhabitants have mostly been killed by the plague. If players find the remaining members of that family, they're rewarded in a certain way.

Unity's buildings will also be much larger this time around, as players can explore different levels of locations like churches, but also the famous Parisian catacombs or sewers that served a big purpose during the revolution. Of course, taverns filled with mini-games will also be present for players to unwind.

Last but not least, it seems that Assassin's Creed Unity will also introduce a skill tree role-playing game progression system into the series.

These new things allow players to invest points in unlocking new abilities centered around the franchise's core pillars: stealth, combat, and navigation.

Apparently, there will be both active and passive abilities in these new skill trees and players will be able to augment their preferred play style.

Expect to hear plenty of new things from Ubisoft about Assassin's Creed Unity as we get closer to the game's release exclusively for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in October.
