14 DAY TRIAL // Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC will be available for download on PC and Xbox One beginning today January 13. The Xbox One version is already up for grabs via Microsoft Store, while the PC version is expected to be released during the day.
Although Ubisoft announced last week that the Dead Kings DLC would arrive on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 13, it looks like the PlayStation 4 version might be delayed for one day.
In a blog post on January 7, Sony stated that the normal Store update would resume on January 14, meaning that Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC might not be made available for download today.
Keep in mind that the Dead Kings DLC is available for free to all those who own Assassin’s Creed Unity, in order to make up for the game’s failed launch and for numerous bugs and issues it is still affected by.
Ubisoft confirmed there wouldn’t be any Season Pass for Assassin’s Creed Unity, so those who purchased one before the announcement have been awarded with a free game from a selected list of Ubisoft titles.
New enemies, weapons, gear and a new faction are included in the new DLC
It’s likely that Dead Kings will be the last DLC for Assassin’s Creed Unity, as Ubisoft is probably focusing on the next installment in the series, which is tentatively called Assassin’s Creed Victory.
Those who can’t wait to play Dead Kings should know that this DLC will take them under the streets of Saint Dennis, Arno’s next destination after leaving Paris. Players will explore the catacombs deep underground and face new enemies and challenges.
The Dead Kings DLC introduces players a new faction of enemies called Raiders. The expansion will also provide players with access to new Murder Mysteries, enigmas and co-op missions while exploring the mysterious city of Saint Denis.
It’s also worth mentioning that both single-player and co-op will reward players with new weapons and gear, which can be carried between Dead Kings and Assassin’s Creed Unity.
